January 28th, 1986 + Galaxies - Owl City


Galaxies is such a great song but when I first heard it, I was a little confused as to what the track preceding it - 'January 28th, 1986' - was about. I found out that Galaxies is a tribute to the victims of the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster and that 'January 28th, 1986' is the president's speech about it. And it's such a beautiful speech. I cried reading the Wikipedia entry about Challenger (listed above). It's such a tragic, yet inspiring, story and I know it's one I'm not going to forget.
